Collegeville is at an important juncture. The decisions the Borough Council makes now will shape our future for years to come.

Council’s Accomplishments

Since 2020 the Collegeville Borough Council members have accomplished the following for our community:

Secured nearly $14 million in grant money in order to:

  • Buy out homes of our Borough flood victims
  • Crate our new Creekside Park and update Community Park
  • Repair culverts, restore streambanks, and fix traffic signals
  • Work toward revitalizing the 400 block of Main Street to attract new restaurants and retail

Maintained responsible financial stewardship

  • Established a $1 million capital reserve savings account for future projects and emergencies
  • Prior to 2020, Collegeville had zero savings

Improved public safety

  • Our Mayor, who oversees our police, promoted John Barnshaw to Chief, and hired three new officers to our team engaged in community policing
  • Received funding from Rep. Webster for police body cams and defense equipment
  • Collegeville Borough has repeatedly been recognized as one of the safest communities in Pennsylvania

Worked toward remedying the blighted Perkiomen Bridge Hotel

  • Over the past five years, the Council has continuously engaged in both negotiations and litigation with the owner, who responds by throwing up roadblocks against all our efforts. He refuses to clean up the hotel, despite our court orders, and also refuses to sell the hotel. The Council is currently in discussions with Montgomery County on new solutions.

All of this was accomplished without raising your taxes.

Collegeville Borough’s Democratic Candidates

To continue moving forward and to undertake essential projects like the revitalization of Main Street, we need consistent and proven leaders who are experienced in local government.

To maintain the momentum please vote to re-elect our Collegeville Mayor and Borough Council Members.
