
Damien Brewster is a local attorney, husband and father of two school-aged children who has lived in Collegeville since 2015 and has served on Borough Council since 2023.
He was born in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York to parents from two working class families. He grew up in Athens, Ga., Midland, Mi., and Glenside, Pa. He graduated from Chestnut Hill Academy in Philadelphia, Pa. in 1995 and received a B.A. in Psychology from Tulane University in New Orleans, La. in 1999. He then served as a Teach For America Corps member from 1999 to 2001, teaching a middle school special education class in an under-resourced community in New Orleans, La. He studied law at Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, La. and received his J.D. degree with Magna Cum Laude honors in 2005.
Damien started his legal career as a trial attorney for the Montgomery County Office of the Public Defender, and then Chief of the Juvenile Unit, from 2005 to 2014. In 2011, Damien began working for a Collegeville law firm as a general practice attorney primarily serving the legal needs of local residents and small businesses.
Damien is currently an attorney at the Royersford law firm of Lewis & McIntosh, LLC, and is also a member/partner in several Collegeville small businesses, including BrewsterLaw LP, Freeland Abstract, Home Sale Services, and 364 Main LLP. His law practice includes general civil and administrative litigation, real estate and construction law, employment law, consumer law, criminal defense, juvenile law, and estate planning.
While working in Collegeville, Damien quickly realized it would be a great place to raise a family. Damien, his wife, and two children continue to appreciate Collegeville’s friendly neighbors, safe community, beautiful parks and trails, excellent schools, and locally owned restaurants and small businesses. Damien believes in hard work, education, family, community, cooperative problem-solving, and helping others. In his free time he enjoys travel, camping, hiking, boating, music, gardening and carpentry.
