
Shannon Spencer is an artist and small business entrepreneur who has lived in Collegeville for 15 years. She has a master’s degree in planning and has studied quality of life in small towns. Shannon stayed home with her two sons while they were young, volunteering as an artist at their schools, and then worked for Ursinus College in its Office of Sustainability. While at Ursinus, she worked with the Borough of Collegeville and Montgomery County Planning Commission to write Collegeville’s sustainability plan. Since leaving Ursinus she has been pursuing her art full time, including painting sets for the Perkiomen Valley Middle School and High School musicals and running her art business from her home. Shannon lives in Collegeville with her husband and younger son.
