
Marion McKinney is a leader in higher education with over two decades of experience focusing on change, student affairs, and equity. Marion is currently the Interim Director of the Institute for Inclusion and Equity at Ursinus College. She also has served as the inaugural Crigler Program Coordinator, a program supporting minoritized students.
Her past professional roles include Interim Associate Vice President for Student Affairs at Ursinus College and Director of Residence Life and Housing Services at West Chester University. In these roles, she managed budgets, crisis response, and staff development.
Marion is also a DEI consultant and trainer with over 15 years of experience. She is certified in conflict mediation, Title IX investigations, and Gallup Strengths Coaching. She has led national presentations and projects on topics such as diversity, supervision, and restorative justice.
She holds a Master of Science in Higher Education Counseling/Student Affairs and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from West Chester University. Marion has also completed training at Harvard’s Women in Leadership Institute, the University of Pittsburgh’s Racial Equity Consciousness Institute, and the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE).
On the Collegeville Borough Council, Marion’s committee assignments include Streets, Roads and Safety; Regional Planning, Collegeville Trappe Municipal Authority (CTMA) (Chair); and Public Works (Vice-Chair).
Marion has lived in Collegeville since 1998. She is married to Todd McKinney, who is Director of Community Engagement & Student Programs at Ursinus College and is Vice President of the Perkiomen Valley School Board. They have two adult children: Taylor, who will earn her Master’s degree in Public Administration in May 2025, and Morgan, a rising junior at Ursinus College, majoring in history and running for Judge of Elections for the Collegeville 2 Poll. The family also has a four-year-old Shichon named Winston Oliver. They enjoy walks with Winston, playing board games, watching sports, and learning together.
