
Dean Miller is an engineer who works as a Software Engineer with Brooks Instruments in Hatfield, PA. A graduate of Ursinus College, he is also passionate about lifelong learning and has been awarded several degrees. His broad interest areas include political science, state and local government, accounting, economics, and psychology.
As a 30-year resident of Collegeville and lifelong Democrat who loves the Borough, he is committed to serving his community as demonstrated by years of committee service to the Borough. Dean is in his fourth year on the Collegeville Planning Commission and has been an active member of the Borough’s business development committee for the past three years. He has taken the county’s Pennsylvania Municipal Planning Education Institute (PMPEI) training courses in Planning, Subdivision and Land Development Review, and in Zoning.
Committed to his community and his interests, Dean has volunteered his time to help elect Democratic candidates here in Collegeville as well as state and national candidates, he has served as treasurer and local chapter president for a national civil rights organization, and as secretary and board member for his church.
As a member of Borough Council, Dean will work to ensure that all parts of the community work together as well as possible, including government, police and fire protection, streets and roads, commercial areas, residential areas, utilities, etc. “Collegeville is a vibrant, wonderful place to live. I want to see this community continue to thrive.”
