Craig Farr

Craig is a candidate for Borough Council in the Tuesday, November 7, 2023 General Election.

Craig Farr is retired toxicologist and chemical industry executive. Craig has lived in Collegeville for 29 years. He wants to engage the Collegeville community and attract new businesses to our area. He has served on several local not for profit Boards, volunteers locally and has extensive experience in managing large budgets, diverse teams and complex programs.


During his tenure as Collegeville councilman,  Craig has served on the:

  • Public Safety & Streets Committee (Chair)


Successfully hired an effective new Borough Manager.


  • Awarded $2M in PA Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) grants ($1.5M in 2021 and $0.5M in 2022)


  • Agreement with Trappe for Collegeville police to patrol in Water Works Park
  • Completed fire inspections at all Borough businesses and working through a second round of inspections


  • Effective traffic calming (speed pillows) on Park Ave between Rt. 29 and 5th Ave.
  • Five-year plan for streets repaving based on condition and traffic volume
  • Permanent placement of a flashing speed limit sign on Rt. 29 at Freeland Dr.
  • All Borough streetlights were updated to LED lighting, resulting in increased brightness and better directional control of lights
  • Conducted and analyzed traffic studies on Clahor Ave., Park Ave. and E. 9th Ave.
  • Approved two new streetlights on Glenwood Ave. near the Ursinus memorial

Borough Infrastructure

  • Long-range planning for replacement of three culverts ($1.5M) on Donny Brook


  • Strengthened working relationships with Ursinus College
  • Ursinus College Gateway Overlay allows mixed use for the buildings at the 5th Ave. and Main St. intersection


  • Rental inspection 
  • Special event permit for alcohol use in Borough parks
  • Blighted Properties updated
  • Banned open burning and fire pit requirements
